Last week I ordered my little girl her first pair of shoes. These shoes are made by a company called Baby Paws, which is located in Australia. The shoes are handmade upon individual request. It’s nice to have something this special that is locally made.
I used the same brand for my little boy’s first pair of shoes. They are pictured here, thoroughly worn in with the indents of his little toes. I love the story these shoes tell. He was so active, it almost wiped me out. Running around like he was built for speed. Too worn and threadbare to give charity, I will keep them forever.
I can’t wait to see the story my daughter’s first shoes tell.
I kept my kid’s first shoes too…they are in a memory box for them to keep (Two Foot Guru loves to “remember” when she was a baby through pictures and things at the moment.
How sweet that your little one loves to walk down memory lane! I’m definitely in the market for a wooden trunk for each of my children’s keepsakes. Parenthood combined with my slightly hoarding tendencies does not make a minimalist home.
I need to get a keepsake box for my girls stuff, too. At the moment it’s stashed on a shelf. I think it’s lovely you’re keeping their shoes. I gave Peanut’s shoes to Bug, the unsentimental mother that I am.
LOL everyday I seem to wrestle with sentiment v practicality!
I feel the same way about baby shoes. I kept all my kids shoes from 0- 3 and framed them in a shadow box. It’s marvelous, I love the stories I read looking at it!
What a beautiful idea.

Do it!
Oh wow, that is gorgeous. I think I’m going to pin that on Pinterest.
Those are lovely shoes. We aren’t up to shoes yet but I’ve bookmarked the link. I am a soppy mum so I’ll be hanging on to his first pair of shoes for posterity.
Yes they’re lovely, much nicer than my own! Though little boy shoes make me weak.
Those are AAAdorable! I think I’d put them in a shadowbox, along with photos and other boy cuteness items.
